Proactive Cultural Heritage Protection Network
The PCHPN is an organization designed to be proactive and reflexive in protecting cultural heritage in the face of an ever-changing, conflict affected world. Our mission is to take a preventative approach to heritage protection by maintaining a large database of tangible and intangible cultural heritage in areas where conflicts are emerging, maintaining a supportive network with heritage professionals in high risk areas, and matching international organizations with in-country researchers. We seek to be a fast, efficient, and approachable vehicle to deliver and disseminate aid and donations in the event of acute catastrophe.
Our Story
Founded by two archaeologists and a cultural heritage professional with firsthand experience in conflict areas and a broad understanding of global archaeology, PCHPN is uniquely positioned to address the challenges at the intersection of cultural heritage and conflict.
